Our AI manifesto: building a responsible, human-centred future with AI

As co-founders of iwantmore.ai and having spent many years helping organisations adopt new technology, we believe AI represents one of the most significant opportunities of our generation.
We see its potential every week in the conversations we have with clients: people solving problems faster, accessing knowledge more easily and finding new ways to deliver better outcomes. We also believe that those developing and deploying AI have a responsibility to keep people at the heart of its progress.
Giving people greater capacity to focus on where it matters
In education, AI can help make learning more accessible and tailored to individual needs, while giving teachers more time to teach. In medicine, it has the potential to support earlier diagnosis, accelerate research and give healthcare professionals more time for patients.
Through our work with clients across multiple sectors, from professional services and construction to healthcare and financial services, we are seeing a clear pattern: people spend less time searching, summarising and administering, and more time applying judgement, creativity and expertise.
Across wider society, it can remove barriers, improve access to knowledge and services, and help people achieve things previously beyond their reach.
“Much of the public conversation focuses on what AI might become. Our focus is also on what organisations can achieve today, using the tools already available, in ways that are useful, safe and practical.” – iwantmore.ai
Turning ambition into opportunity
What we have also witnessed across our client base is that for individuals and small businesses, AI can be a powerful leveller. Capabilities once dependent on large teams and substantial budgets are becoming more accessible.
With a modest monthly investment a small business can analyse information, develop ideas, improve its operations and serve customers with a level of capability previously associated with much larger enterprises. With the right access, skills and support, more people can turn ambition into opportunity.
One of the things that has surprised us most is not the technology itself, but how quickly people adapt when AI is connected to real work. Employees who initially approach AI with caution often become some of its strongest advocates once they see it helping them remove friction, save time and make better use of their own expertise.
AI adoption is a people challenge
Our experience has taught us that successful AI adoption is rarely determined by the quality of the technology alone. The organisations seeing the greatest value are those investing in leadership, governance, skills and culture alongside the tools themselves. AI adoption is a people challenge before it is a technology challenge.
But these benefits are not guaranteed, and the risks deserve honest discussion. Bias, misinformation, loss of privacy, disruption to employment and the concentration of power all have real human consequences. People need a voice in how AI changes their lives, alongside support to adapt.
…but it’s moving so quickly
The speed of innovation makes this responsibility more urgent. iwantmore.ai is two years old and the advances we have seen in that time are startling. Much of the public conversation focuses on what AI might become.
Our focus is also on what organisations can achieve today, using the tools already available, in ways that are useful, safe and practical.
“At iwantmore.ai, our role is not to persuade organisations to use AI everywhere. Our role is to help them make informed decisions about where AI creates genuine value, where human judgement remains essential, and how to implement it responsibly” – iwantmore.ai
It’s time for regulation
Many of the organisations we work with want to move quickly, but they also want confidence that they are doing so responsibly. Clear regulation and practical governance frameworks can help create that confidence, enabling innovation while protecting people. AI companies and governments globally must ensure that ethics, accountability and the long-term impact on humanity remain central to their decisions.
We would welcome internationally coordinated regulation that establishes meaningful standards for safety, governance and transparency. This should include independent scrutiny, clear accountability and openness about capabilities and limitations. It should also be proportionate, so that smaller businesses can participate without unnecessary barriers.
There is already so much we can achieve with the technology available today. Used with well-structured data, human judgement and the right guardrails, current AI systems can help address complex business problems and deliver substantial value. We should give equal attention to applying these capabilities well, building trust and sharing the benefits, rather than waiting for future breakthroughs before taking action.
Our commitment at iwantmore.ai
At iwantmore.ai, our role is not to persuade organisations to use AI everywhere. Our role is to help them make informed decisions about where AI creates genuine value, where human judgement remains essential, and how to implement it responsibly. We want organisations to build confidence, develop practical skills and adopt AI in a way that serves their people, their customers and their purpose.
We remain optimistic about the future of AI because of the people we meet every day: professionals finding more time for higher-value work, small businesses accessing capability that was previously out of reach, and leaders trying to make thoughtful choices in a fast-moving environment. The future of AI should not be measured solely by technological progress, but by the positive impact it has on people’s lives.
That is the future we want to help build.

AI tools like ChatGPT are, for many people, becoming the main interface for finding information, making decisions, and getting work done. As adoption grows, so do the costs of running advanced models. OpenAI, as a high-profile example, burns through an estimated $17 billion per year. Now advertising is entering the picture, raising a fundamental question: can AI remain trusted if it becomes ad-supported?

AI model retirement happens when providers discontinue older systems, requiring organisations to migrate or rebuild workflows built around them. Although driven by improvements in performance, safety, and cost efficiency, these changes can cause significant disruption. Beyond the technical impact, model retirement also affects the people and teams who rely on these tools every day.

An AI mindset means embedding AI into everyday work so it becomes a natural part of how the business operates. Teams use it to streamline repeatable tasks, improve decisions, and reduce friction, while applying human judgement and clear guardrails. Built through small, practical improvements over time, this approach turns AI from an experiment into a consistent driver of efficiency and progress.

Governments across the world are racing to develop and deploy AI, but their approaches couldn’t be more different. The United States, China and the United Kingdom have all released formal action plans in 2025 that give us a clear sense of their priorities, politics and philosophies on AI. Here’s what they’re doing and what it tells us.

We say it to every business we meet. Regardless of the project, you can have the coolest, sexiest, best bit of tech out there, but without the people being on board it is a complete waste of time and money. Rolling out AI is no different. It’s about people. What’s the best way of bringing people along on any tech journey? Other people.
